Goalie Training
Offense sells tickets, defense wins games. Our goalies are our last line of defense, and therefore the goalie position has to be one of our strongest on the field. Don't worry, we've got that covered.
Pride offers individual and group goalie training through Pride Coach Gary Morgan.
Gary Morgan has over 20 years of experience in lacrosse and specializes in working with goalies at the collegiate, high school and youth level. He is currently a Varsity Assistant Coach at Robinson which won the 2015 and 2016 State, Regional and Conference championships. He was formerly the Goalie Coach at Langley High School and James Madison High School. He has coached numerous High School All American goalies. Gary coached goalies in various All Star teams including coaching Virginia’s entry in The Cup of Nations as part of lacrosse’s World Cup, the Northern Region’s entry for both the boys and girls at the Virginia Commonwealth Games and various other events. He has been providing Goalie training and clinics for a host of youth programs and was asked to present at the US Lacrosse’s Potomac Chapter’s clinics regarding youth goalie play. He has also been the Goalie evaluator for the National School Girl Washington area’s Tournament teams. For 2016, Coach Morgan will be an evaluator for the National School Girls' tournament Heather Leigh Albert Award which is the tournament's most valuable player. In addition, he has been the Goalie evaluator for both the Under Armour Underclass All American and the Brine National All Star tournament DC area teams.
